Jenny had a rough 24 hours. She was clearly in a lot of pain. But... she's all better now! It's a miracle! Well, not really. It was a little bit of luck and a lot of money. I took her to the Vet this afternoon. We got there and the doctor was very concerned that Jenny hadn't been trying to put any pressure on her foot when she walked. She hobbled on 3 legs and just dragged the other leg around. So he suggested they take x-rays.
Jenny was gone for about 20 minutes getting the x-rays, then the door opened and she came running in the room to see me. On all 4 legs! It was the strangest thing. She did have a little bit of a limp, but it was nothing like she had before. She was a whole new dog. Apparently when they were taking the x-rays they were positioning her leg around and "popped" her little paw back into joint. The doctor didn't even realize she was ok again until after the x-rays (of cour$e...) So that was that! I did ask them to give her a pedicure while she was there, it might have been a claw that got caught on something that pulled her paw out of joint. She also was due for her rabies shot. Jenny had quite the afternoon! She's taking a nap now, and resting very comfortably. Thanks everyone for your concern!

Oh I'm soooo relieved that it was "only" a dislocation (OUCH) and not a broken leg! I hope she's feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteHow's the little patient doing? Is she tearing around the house yet?
