After quite a lengthy leave of absence, the Queen of Corgi cuteness has returned! Today she was outside enjoying this unseasonably warm, beautiful November afternoon.
Jenny would like to apologize for not doing very well at posting on her blog. She's been very busy being a dog. She's been going for daily walks, chasing squirrels from window to window, and is taking lots and lots of naps. Hopefully she'll start being a better blogger... although she's going on vacation next week, so maybe when she gets back...
Jenny has found a way to beat the heat! She loves to roll around on the cool cement floor in the basement. She doesn't realize/care that it's not very lady-like though!
Today was such a nice day out, we just had to go to a park! We ended up at Longbranch Park in Liverpool.
Jenny immediately made the park hers... Alex looked on in complete embarrassment. 
Longbranch Park is where Alex's Cross-Country team has its home course. He thought he'd take Jenny around and show her some of the highlights.
Jenny loves to get out and explore. The bugs were out though, which wasn't fun for us. But it was a nice little field trip. 
Jenny got to have an outdoor shower yesterday. She usually gets to bathe in the privacy of her own home, but not today! She decided to wipe her head in something dead. She smelled. Badly. And we just put in new carpeting upstairs. I was not about to let her up there.
She was pretty annoyed. But she's fluffy and smells nice again! 
Jenny stopped by the office today. She met Clifford, the Big Red Dog. She appeared to be unimpressed.
Mostly she just wandered the endless hallways.
There were so many hallways...
What kind of Royal Corgi would Jenny be if she didn't wish her Royal "Cousins" a Happy Wedding Day!
Jenny went to the playground today! It was at the Elementary School next to the High School. The weather was perfect, finally!
She was very daring and climbed up on the playground equipment and was very interested in the kids on the swings.
She went up the stairs to get a better view. She kind of looks like a bunny rabbit! Look at that fuzzy butt.... heh heh.

After playing, we went for a walk around the High School. This is where Alex goes to school. Well, he goes to the "9th Grade Annex" right now... but next year he'll be in the big building.
I think Jenny had a fun afternoon and is enjoying the nicer weather.
It's Peanut Butter and Jenny! I've been saving this empty jar of peanut butter as a treat for Jenny. I thought it would keep her very busy for quite awhile. She was very timid at first, not really thinking it was something she should be touching.
Then she dove right in. The little jar rolled all over the kitchen and she chased it. And tried to get as much of the peanut butter goodness as she could.
But she grew tired of the game very quickly. So I stuck the jar in her food dish. She quickly lost interest. It's still there. 
We saw patches of grass yesterday morning. They're gone. Covered by more snow.
And Jenny how to re-plow her trails in the backyard.
Jenny got a nice belly rub today, by a foot that just happened to be hanging around. She often finds feet and plops herself near them, hoping for a scratch or two.
She also got to go for a nice walk around the block today. This snowbank is going to be around for awhile. I wonder if she knows that there's grass under all that snow.
Jenny found a fresh area of snow to run around in. Soon enough, the snow will be gone. And will be replaced by a giant mud pit. With thousands of little land mines. Of the joys of Spring!
Still waiting for warmer weather to get here so we can go out and play. Boy, this winter is dragging!
We finally got out for a nice walk today! The roads were clear, the temperature was around 32 degrees and I had the day off. So it was time to get out and breathe some fresh air... it did us both some good! C'mon Spring... you're sooo close...
Just wanted to post an update about Jenny. She is 100% back to normal. By 100% back to normal, I mean 100% back to running, jumping, barking, and being her insane little self. It's like her little incident never happened. She's going a little stir crazy though, it's too cold and miserable outside to go for walks (That's her lazy, cold-hating owner talking, I'm sure she'd love to go for a walk!...) We all can't wait for warmer weather so we can get outside again!
Jenny had a rough 24 hours. She was clearly in a lot of pain. But... she's all better now! It's a miracle! Well, not really. It was a little bit of luck and a lot of money. I took her to the Vet this afternoon. We got there and the doctor was very concerned that Jenny hadn't been trying to put any pressure on her foot when she walked. She hobbled on 3 legs and just dragged the other leg around. So he suggested they take x-rays.
Jenny hurt her leg today. We're not really sure how, she was kind of running through the living room, then she was standing by the kitchen door with her front paw up and she was whimpering. Eric carried her down to the family room where she has been laying for the last few hours. She's attempted to get up a couple of times, but gave up. If she's not up by tomorrow, I'll have to take her to the vet. I hope it's nothing too serious!! She looks so sad and helpless...
Sheila sent us some wonderful images from a woman who poses her baby in various scenes while the baby sleeps. I thought they were so adorable! And of course, I thought Jenny should have this done to her while she slept too... of course this is only done in photoshop. Jenny wouldn't lie still for me create a scene around her! Jenny got some more snow! We only got about 6" yesterday. It put our annual total (so far) up to 92". We're lucky we had a thaw a couple of weeks ago that got rid of most of that!
Otherwise poor Jenny would be having a lot more trouble maneuvering through the snow!
Santa brought Jenny a blanket for Christmas. She always sleeps in this spot on the wood floor, I guess Santa thought she'd enjoy a little cushion...

I found some cute pictures of Jenny when she was a puppy. I think I lost most of the photos I had back then when I lost my desktop last year. (A virus wiped everything out...) But I found a few... wasn't she cute?! This was from the fall of '06. She was born in September 2006.

Jenny is still guarding her "Tube". Or what's left of it. It's next to her face... and don't even think about trying to take it from her!
